VSM at the MSV in Brno
The company’s participation in MSV Brno was set to take place just a few days after the official inauguration on 27 September of the new office of VSM Abrasives s.r.o. in Prague. With the momentum of the inauguration event, all of the VSM sales partners and customers were invited to visit the exhibition stand – and gladly accepted the offer. This year’s MSV was the 60th edition of the traditional trade fair and had been booked out months in advance, attracting 1,651 exhibitors from 32 countries. 80,000 people visited the fair, demonstrating the enormous interest shown by specialists in the industry.
Rough grinding with VSM ACTIROX and VSM CERAMICS Plus
At the VSM stand, visitors were shown ideal solutions across the entire spectrum of grinding applications, from rough machining to the creation of extremely fine surfaces. VSM ACTIROX and VSM CERAMICS Plus are optimised for maximum stock removal and are the solid choice for rough grinding. The geometrically shaped ceramic grain in the new ACTIROX, in particular, ensures especially aggressive grinding of steel, stainless steel and carbon steel. It is perfectly suited for bevelling and levelling welded seams, for example. The extensively tried-and-tested VSM CERAMICS Plus abrasives, on the other hand, feature an improved self-sharpening effect when machining high-alloyed steels and super alloys with high contact pressure and have the advantage of a very aggressive grinding action. This results in a significantly longer service life – and thus better productivity.
Ideal for intermediate and finish grinding: VSM’s compact grain
VSM COMPACTGRAIN Plus also stands for improved productivity. These long-term abrasives offer a much longer service life as well as optimised stock removal performance during intermediate and finish grinding. The three-dimensional compact grain guarantees a uniform surface finish with an even scratch pattern and consistent surface roughness. Companies profit from a significantly longer service life and less frequent replacement of the abrasives: strong arguments, which also hit the mark at the MSV.
VSM ILUMERON for the very finest surfaces
For perfect finishes, VSM added VSM ILUMERON to its programme several months ago. This new long-term abrasive sets a completely new surface quality standard with extremely high gloss finishes when grinding pipes, plates or sheet metal. And: it allows grinding and polishing to take place in a single processing step. This saves time and cuts costs significantly, which is why ILUMERON has already been successfully received in the Czech market.
Impressive
"We were able to impress our guests with the high performance of our abrasives and with the competence of our colleagues at the fair, especially the sales and distribution partners at the stand", says Norbert Klinzing, Director of VSM Abrasives s.r.o. "Once again, it was clear to see that VSM abrasives are highly valued by Czech and Slovakian users. This is what we want to build on. An optimal basis for the future after our successful start!"
