VSM at Mindtech Vigo 2019

The industrial and harbour city of Vigo is the largest city in the autonomous Spanish region of Galicia – and with a 21 percent share of the metal industry in the regional GDP, it is extremely interesting for the supplier industry. At Mindtech 2019, the "Metal Industry and Technologies International Trade Fair", from 10 to 12 September, VSM presented its wide range of abrasives and demonstrated solutions ranging from finish grinding to rough machining.

Everything for perfect surfaces and maximum stock removal
While the long-term grinding and polishing product VSM ILUMERON produces the finest surface finishes with very high gloss, the products from the VSM COMPACTGRAIN range create perfect workpiece surfaces thanks to uniform stock removal – convincing arguments for the companies present at the fair. "ACTIROX and VSM CERAMICS were most in demand with our visitors, however", reports Silvia Miralles from VSM VITEX ABRASIVOS IBERICA, S.A.U. The geometrically shaped ceramic grains of ACTIROX ensure a highly aggressive cutting action. VSM’s flagship product therefore sets new standards for stock removal and grinding speeds when grinding superalloys, stainless steels and carbon steel. The tried-and-tested VSM CERAMICS ranges are also very much in demand in Spain: with their cool cutting and optimised self-sharpening effect when processing high-alloyed steels and superalloys, they always ensure optimum stock removal and a maximum service life. "All in all, Mindtech was a really successful event with good contacts made and, above all, a great atmosphere", says Silvia Miralles, summing up the three successful trade fair days at the IFEVI (Instituto Ferial de Vigo).
