VSM at MetalMadrid

"This year, we had an especially large number of exciting new products in our range to show our visitors", says Sergi Pitarch, Director of VSM's Spanish subsidiary VSM · VITEX ABRASIVOS, summing up the eventful trade fair. The trade fair guests were particularly enamoured with VSM ACTIROX, VSM's new flagship product for grinding alloyed steels, stainless steels or carbon steels: The new geometrically shaped ceramic grain has an extremely aggressive grinding action. It achieves a stock removal rate up to 50 % higher than previous leading ceramic grain abrasives. "Many visitors were evidently delighted to finally have a higher performance alternative", says Pitarch.

Optimised grinding of non-ferrous metals
Also new in the VSM range and of great interest to the metal professionals present in Madrid was VSM STEARATE Plus. This product perfects the grinding process for non-ferrous metals. It combines VSM’s tried-and-tested CERAMICS technology with the new STEARATE Plus anti-adhesive additional layer, which minimises troublesome chip adhesion. This means less clogging of the abrasive. VSM STEARATE Plus extends the service live significantly and ensures maximum and reliable stock removal, even after a long period of use.

The third new product for our Spanish trade-fair visitors also made a big impression: VSM ILUMERON. This long-term abrasive sets a completely new surface quality standard with extremely high gloss finishes when grinding pipes, plates or sheet metal. It also allows grinding and polishing to take place in a single processing step.

In 2019, MetalMadrid will take place somewhat later, on 27 and 28 November. VSM will probably be represented there again.
